Spill the Tea
Green tea consumption can help you live longer, be smarter and better looking.
No joke.
My grandmother believed a hot cup of tea could fix anything. She might have been onto something because the antioxidant content of green tea is so high that it can improve brain function. It is rich in polyphenols that can reduce inflammation and help fight cancer. It has been shown to increase metabolism and lower risk of cardiovascular disease. It contains powerful antioxidants that reduce free radicals and protect cells and molecules against damage associated with ageing.
Kristi Funk is a celebrity breast cancer surgeon who saved my life and thousands of others. In her book Breasts: The Owners Manual, she says “three cups of green tea a day can reduce breast cancer by as much as 50 percent.” Dr Funk says you should brew it for three minutes and add a squeeze of lemon, the citrus quintuples the antioxidant absorption.
A cup of tea might not fix absolutely everything, but all evidence considered I’m going to boil the kettle immediately!
